Recently, Excelzia had the pleasure of working with Jembatan Budaya School (JB School) from Bali Indonesia on a Study Tour.
A group of representatives from the Board of Directors and their Education Team visited Sydney to explore the educational opportunities and resources available. Excelzia arranged for the team attend a NSW Government High School and to see and feel school life in Australia.
JB School were taken to North Kingsgrove High School. The school had arranged for four Bahasa speaking students of Indonesian descent. The school showed their facilities and capabilities including Confucius classroom, Mandarin lessons, their industrial arts area (metalworking, woodworking and their Hospitality area with industrial kitchens. This school also has several special needs classes for intellectually disabled children and children with learning difficulties. North Kingsgrove High School would very much welcome JB school for an immersion program.
The JB team toured our partner’s Digital Media campus in Sydney. They were shown all the mixing rooms, studios and classrooms and the other facilities available. They were very impressed with the standard of the facilities.
Excelzia also showed the JB School team through the performing arts campus at Walsh Bay. They were met by the Head of Education and after the tour we sat down and discussed what this program can do for developing children’s leadership skills. JB team were able to draw parallels to the Balinese culture and how well this program may fit with their school’s culture.
Whilst in Sydney, we took the opportunity to show the JB School team the student accommodation in The Rocks district. This facility is particularly designed for large student groups. They were impressed and thought it was highly suitable and thought the location was outstanding.
